For TFWA Cannes, Rancé 1795 needed to tell more than two centuries of history within a compact exhibition space, without giving up either the display of the full range or a dedicated consultation area. The project was developed as a small enclosed setting, built on the contrast between the red of the walls and the gold finishes.
- red panelling with recessed display cases and integrated LED lighting
- curved central counter with fluted surface and brass trim
- wall of gilded frames recalling the history of the maison
- consultation area with table and seating, set apart from the display route
- coordinated finishes on skirting, trims and lettering
The result is a space that makes the most of every available metre, giving the brand a recognisable presence at the fair.
Exhibition stand design at TFWA Cannes for Rancé 1795
In small-footprint stands the problem is not style but capacity: display, storage and commercial conversation all have to coexist without the space feeling crowded. For Rancé 1795, a niche perfumery house with women's and men's collections, high-end fragrances and scented body products, the project solved the issue by moving the entire display onto the walls and freeing up the centre.
The walls are lined with red panelling and recessed display cases, framed in matching trim and lit by LED strips integrated into the shelves. Each niche works as a cabinet: packaging, gift boxes and the brand's historic pieces can be read one by one, without crowding. The deep red covers broad surfaces and is interrupted only by the gold trims on skirting, shelves and lettering.
At the centre, a curved display counter with a fluted surface and brass trim holds the fragrances on top and the sales materials in the compartments below. Its rounded shape makes it possible to walk around it even in a narrow space, leaving the passage clear on both sides.
On the opposite side, a light-toned wall carries an arrangement of gilded frames with historic images and documents: this is where the brand's story takes over from the commercial display, and it sits alongside the meeting area, with its round table and light seating. Setting the consultation area apart from the display route, at a fair like TFWA where the work is done with international buyers and distributors, means being able to close a deal without interrupting visits.
Effetre built the stand with close attention to the consistency of the finishes across every element (panelling, counter, frames, trims) because in a space of this size any shift in tone or alignment would be immediately visible.
