On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Treccani took part in the Turin International Book Fair with the goal of showcasing, through its exhibition space, the evolution from a historic encyclopedia to a dynamic, multidisciplinary cultural institution. For such a significant milestone, the request was clear: to create an open stand capable of representing every facet of the Treccani universe, allowing visitors to move freely among the various thematic areas, following their own interests and passions.
Effetre embraced this challenge by designing and building a custom exhibition stand that combined structural solidity with visual lightness.
The space was conceived to be as fluid as possible, free of visual barriers, in order to foster an immersive and personal experience. Every element—from the layout to the choice of materials—was carefully designed to reflect Treccani’s contemporary identity and the diversity of its initiatives, from Treccani Arte to Treccani Libri, from Edulia to Treccani Accademia.
Natural materials and neutral tones were used for flooring, furnishings, and structures, creating a refined contrast with the bold red-and-black visual language developed for the centenary’s communication. The result is a space that visually and coherently tells the story of a historic cultural brand now projected into the future.
This project demonstrates Effetre’s ability to interpret the complex needs of its clients, translating them into functional, engaging environments that leave a lasting impression.
